Present: Richard Mansfield; Louise Charbonneau; Jacquie Kelly; Sue Sullivan; Cheryl Owoc; Albert Ferron; Maureen Buffone
The meeting was called to order at 8:05 a.m. Sue Sullivan accepted the position of chairperson of the Senior Van Subcommittee.
The committee agreed that a target letter should be sent to potential donors, and the committee will brainstorm who should be targeted initially (drugstores, banks, Sunnyside, Luddy, Oriol Health Care, Big Y, Landmark, realtors). After the first year, a multi-year commitment will be sought. Jack La Prade will be contacted to discuss magnetic signs. Jeff can measure the van to determine how much space there is to work with. The smaller sponsors can be put on the back of the van. It would be helpful to get sketches to demonstrate to the businesses when they are approached. The fund raising packet used by the Senior Center was designed with a lot of thought and will be given to Sue to look at.
Jacquie Kelly will make revisions to the draft letter and email to the committee members. Sue will draft a time-line. A lot of this work can be done by email.
A motion to adjourn was made by Mr. Ferron and seconded by Cheryl Owoc. Meeting adjourned at 9:05 a.m.
