Traffic Access Management (TAM)
John Bechard, P.E. and Joseph Wanat, P.E., PTOE from Vanassee Hangen Brustlin, Inc. (VHB) presented an overview of their knowledge of traffic access management. They advised T/C to help the Town of Holden, to establish long-term development goals and call upon consultants and professionals to help accomplish these goals through the Master Plan and zoning bylaws. Area towns should be contacted to ascertain any TAM policy guidelines. Don Lawton's draft memo to the Planning Board will be presented at their March 24th meeting.
Doyle Road and Shrewsbury Street
Traffic signal plans will be obtained from Mass Highway Department.
Issues on South Road
T/C members are in agreement that the proposed one-way designation of South Rd should not be considered.
Main Street and Salisbury Street
DPW received a complaint about the left turn signal from Main Street at Salisbury Street. The signal is operating correctly, the left turn is a lead during certain times of day and as a lag during other times as per design.
