Hearing (Perna) May 10, 2007
TOWN OF HOLDEN
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
HEARING

Richard & Kristin Perna                                                          Case No. V 0706

The Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing on May 10, 2007 at 7:15 p.m. in Memorial Hall, 1196 Main Street, Holden, MA on the Petition of Richard & Kristin Perna for property located at 395 Salisbury Street for a VARIANCE for relief from side yard setback requirements for an addition.

Members of the Board in attendance: Ronald Spakauskas, Jack LaPrade, Roy Fraser, Fred Lonardo and James Deignan.

The Chairman called the hearing to order.  The Board and the applicant agreed to waive the reading of the application.

Mr. Perna explained that he would like to expand his home for his growing family by adding an additional bedroom.  He further explained that the buidling design indicated the addition would be eleven (11) feet from the property line, but in fact would only be ten (10) feet.  Therefore, he requested to amend his petition.  R. Fraser made a motion to accept this request.  F. Lonardo seconded.  Vote 5-0, motion approved.

F. Lonardo asked if relief would be required if the addition was placed on the other side; the answer was yes.

Since there was no further comments or questions, the public hearing was officially closed at 8:00 p.m.

The Board voted unanimously to grant the Variance with the condition that 1) the corner closest to the property line must be staked by a registered land surveyor.

Ronald E. Spakauskas, Chairman
