1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion by Beverly Potvin Kenniston, seconded by James Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of February 26, 2007.
2. Miscellaneous Items
Miscellaneous Discussion Items
The Board of Assessors reviewed the remaining real estate abatement applications. Abatements were granted on a number of real estate abatement applications and denials were also issued.
We had a discussion on motor vehicle excise. The first commitment of 2007 was mailed on February 21, 2007 and is due on Friday, March 23, 2007. There were 14,486 bills for a total of $1,518,923.75.
The Holden Heights, LLC new subdivision on Map 118, Parcel 34 (Highland Street/Wachusett Street) was discussed. The 30-acre parcel is being developed. The land has been cleared. Individual paper street lots will be assessed for FY2008.
The assessors will be attending the Worcester County Assessors Association Workshop on Certification Issues on March 28, 2007.
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, April 9, 2007 at 4:30 P.M.
