1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion by Beverly Potvin Kenniston, seconded by James Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of February 25, 2008.
2. Miscellaneous Items
Miscellaneous Discussion Items
The Board of Assessors reviewed real estate and personal property abatement applications. Abatements were granted on a number of real estate and personal property abatement applications and denials were also issued.
The assessors discussed motor vehicle excise. The first commitment of 2008 was mailed on February 20, 2008 and was due on Friday, March 21, 2008. There were 14,675 bills for a total of $1,538,047.50.
The assessors will be attending the Massachusetts Assessors Association Conference in Sturbridge on April 15-17, 2008.
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 4:30 P.M.
