1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion by B. Potvin Kenniston, seconded by J. Dillon. It was voted to approve the minutes of October 27, 2008.
2. Miscellaneous Items
Miscellaneous Discussion
The Fiscal Year 2010 revaluation was discussed. Jennifer Silva from the Department of Revenue recently met with the Principal Assessor. They reviewed the new requirements and additional spreadsheets that will be mandatory for certification. All land schedules will need to be completely revamped.
The assessors started the process of reviewing Real Estate Abatement Applications. The assessors granted three (3) real estate abatements. February 1 is the last day for filing abatement applications. The Board will plan to review applications at their February meeting.
The Supplemental Tax on New Construction (Hopkinton Bill) was discussed. We have printed a list of occupancy permits from the Building Department and will issue bills on newly constructed improvements in February. Supplemental Tax will be lower since the number of new houses has decreased.
Next meeting will be held on Monday, February 23, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.
