1. Acceptance of Minutes
Motion by James Dillion, seconded by Beverly Potvin Kenniston. It was voted to approve the minutes of June 22, 2009.

The assessors discussed the FY2010 property values. This is a revaluation year. The Principal Assessor has verified arm-length sales, analyzed valid sales data and prepared spreadsheets and documentation. All property values for FY2010 will reflect market sales during 2008. A number of foreclosure sales occurred in 2008 and 2009 and the market continued to decline for most style of homes. The Department of Revenue is scheduled to begin the re-certification process on September 8, 2009. This process will take several weeks.
Updating of the commercial and industrial property values was discussed. Michael Tarello from Vision Appraisal Technology will complete the update and valuation of the commercial and industrial properties prior to the Department of Revenue review.
Valuation of the telecommunication companies personal property values have been delayed pending the issuance of guidelines from the Bureau of Local Assessment. The valuation of the telecommunication companies has held up the re-certification process for all Towns.
The next Board of Assessors meeting will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 4:30 p.m.
